Bodhi (poems)
1
Initially, only the wind was gamboling at the corner of street
Then came the rain
the leaves of french phoenix trees
and a man holding a black umbrella
Although everything in the world is steep and unpredictable like weather
I wish the statecraft to deliver living creatures is as kind as lotus
I prefer quietness
just as its eternity
2
Say waves, but not fragment.
Say the harmony of the sea and sky, but not the humble of crowds
Everything is alike ,but faraway
Ah Buddha
When I drop on my knees with the eyes closed, hands together
where is the Buddhist sound--ding dong from
Just like the clear spring echoing in heart
3
Moon and stars are in the sky
a common thing
Only spring frogs stack up as ancient scriptures
which is enough to wake up garden behind the house
Every minute
the air is filled with the breath of plants’ wanton growth
All a year round, my favorite night is probably so
All my life , my enamored quietness is probably so
4
The sea is as wide as childhood
The Sanskrit is as sweet as childhood
The yard of temple is as ancient as childhood
Seabirds are as naughty as childhood
5
Milk vetch brought me into the mountains
in front of the temple
I was below the clouds
A exposed jade
A hard stone
The courage shown by moss covering the steps
The sea breeze through the statecraft
The waves spreading joy for sea breeze
When the spray is prancing
a little distressed
a little broken.
The voice of the crash
The epiphany and repentance after distress
6
Many times
I walk by the river
and hear the wind under the trees
In the absence of past and future
I inquire about my own news in the wind
7
Sometimes I dream
But I forget I’m dreaming
Sometimes I am caught in the mountains
and have already forgotten the years in mountains
Ah Buddha
Please tell me
the day and the sun dressed on our body
Which day is not well-being
Which day is not source of disaster
