泰戈尔《吉檀迦利》九十五 中英文对照

原文；
       I was not aware of the moment when I first crossed the threshold
  of this life.
       What was the power that made me open out into this vast mystery
  like a bud in the forest at midnight.
       When in the morning I looked upon the light I felt in a moment that
  I was no stranger in this world,that the inscrutable without name and form
  had taken me in its arms in the form of my own mother.
       Even so,in death the same unknown will appear as ever known to me.
  And because I love this life,I know I shall love death as well.
       The child cries out when from the right breast the mother takes it away,
  in the very next moment to find in the left one its consolation.

译文；
       我毫不知晓，
       那究竟是什么样的时刻，
       我最初跨进了这生命的门槛。

       又是什么力量令我盛放，
       融入这广袤无涯的神秘万象，
       宛如午夜之际的森林中，
       小小的一枚花苞！

       清晨之中我望向一片晨光，
       那瞬间我便感觉到，
       我完全不是这世上的陌路人，
       有一种神秘莫可名状，
       却把我揽入它的臂弯，
       其状正和生我养我的妈妈一个样。

       纵使如此，
       那生命之中所有的未知，
       一如我曾经所熟知的一切，
       将会同样地尽现于死亡。
       恰恰是因为我爱这生命，
       我知道，
       我也同样地爱着这死亡。

       当妈妈把孩子从右乳上挪开，
       孩子即会放声哭叫，
       只是为了在随即到来的下一刻，
       能寻得慰籍于妈妈左边的乳房。
