泰戈尔《吉檀迦利》二十  中英文对照
原文；
       On the day when the lotus bloomed,alas,my mind was straying,and I knew
  it not.My basket was empty and the flower remained unheeded.
       Only now and again a sadness fell upon me,and I started up from my dream
  and felt a trace of strange fragrance in the south wind.
       That vague sweetness made my heart ache with longing and it seemed to me
  that it was the eager breath of the summer seeking for its completion.
        I knew not then that it was so near,that it was mine,and that this perfect sweetness
  had blossomed in the depth of my own heart.

译文；
       在那莲花盛开的日子，
       呀，
       我情不自禁，
       任由心中的神思飘渺。
       那花儿就被冷落在一旁，
       我的花篮还是空荡荡。

       只是有一缕忧伤，
       不时地笼罩我身上，
       我从迷蒙中醒来，
       恰微风南送，
       有一丝甜蜜的奇异幽香。

       那淡淡的幽芳清芬，
       惹得我的心啊，
       在渴望中痛苦熬煎，
       我隐约感到，
       那是夏日热切急促的呼吸，
       只是为了寻得造化的圆满。

       就在那一刻，
       我还不知道，
       它是如此的切近，
       它已经属于我，
       这纯美的甜蜜芬芳，
       早就在我的内心深处，
       如花绽放。
